AstroPay, a well-known digital payment service, recently introduced a prepaid Mastercard in Brazil. This initiative will allow current and new customers to utilize their funds globally wherever Mastercard is accepted.

AstroPay views this as a significant development in their collaboration with Mastercard, a prominent player in the payments sector. The prepaid cards are operational immediately upon activation, and users can enjoy them without any charges. Additionally, users can benefit from supplementary advantages such as cashback incentives and exclusive features within the AstroPay platform.

These cards function similarly to a standard debit card, enabling cash withdrawals and in-person transactions. Furthermore, a virtual version of the AstroPay card facilitates online payments.

Guillermo Dotta, AstroPay’s CTO and CPO, highlighted Brazil’s prominent position in the realm of digital finance and fintech. He perceives this partnership with Mastercard as a testament to AstroPay’s dedication to offering Brazilians the finest, most user-friendly, and secure methods for managing their finances. He further stated that AstroPay is committed to continuous innovation and enhancement of its services, ensuring that they not only meet but surpass customer expectations.

Mastercard was excited to collaborate with AstroPay,” shared Thiago Dias, VP of Fintechs and Enablers for Latin America and the Caribbean at Mastercard. “This alliance demonstrates Mastercard’s dedication to being the preferred partner for fintech companies. Jointly, we are introducing groundbreaking solutions that deliver a smooth and protected user experience while advancing financial accessibility throughout the area.”
