Veteran gaming leader, Andrew McIver, is rejoining the internet gambling sector as the head of Intertain. This change in command coincides with several other executive shifts within the organization.
McIver, who formerly helmed Sportingbet before its purchase by GVC Holdings, brings extensive expertise to Intertain. His arrival follows the exit of John Kennedy Fitzgerald, who vacated the role earlier this year. Additionally, Intertain revealed that Neil Goulden will assume the position of Board Chair. Both appointments are in effect as of now.
McIver’s comeback to the field is particularly significant considering his prosperous period at Sportingbet. His guidance will be critical as Intertain maneuvers through a phase of evolution and prioritizes operational efficiency.
Entertainment Group has denied the claims within the document, asserting that they are “factually incorrect in all significant details.” It’s important to remember that Per Widerström, the focus of these claims, possesses an extensive background in the gaming sector. He held positions as COO, CEO, and Chairman of Gala Coral and recently vacated his role as Chairman of the Responsible Gaming Trust in January.
Furthermore, there are some executive transitions occurring within the organization. Keith Laslop, the present CFO, is assuming the position of President of Bahamas Entertainment. He’ll be multitasking for a period, remaining as CFO until a successor is appointed. This follows Intertain’s substantial acquisition in 2018 when they procured Gamesys’ customer-facing resources for a considerable £425.8 million.
