A significant affiliate marketing firm, Catena Media, is expanding its presence in Asia through the purchase of a prominent Japanese affiliate network. The unnamed company is known to collaborate with several of Japan’s leading online gaming platforms. Under the terms of the $5.5 million agreement, Catena will make an initial payment of $4 million, with the remaining $1.5 million due six months following the completion of the acquisition.
The acquired business, which generates quarterly revenue of roughly €35 million ($39 million) and boasts an impressive 80% profit margin, is already profitable. This move will bring three full-time staff members and four independent contractors to Catena, and the company will integrate its current Japanese domains into the acquired business. Robert Andersson, CEO of Catena Media, remarked that this strategic purchase aligns perfectly with their worldwide growth objectives and provides them with a solid foundation for future expansion in the Asian market.
