Playn Go has been granted authorization by the Ontario Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO) to function within the province. This signifies they are now permitted to collaborate with gambling enterprises within Ontario’s newly regulated marketplace, slated to commence operations on April 4th.
Play’n Go’s sales director, Magnus Olsson, emphasized the significance of regulated markets for their business and the gaming sector as a whole. Such regulations ensure a secure gambling setting for players while enabling companies to concentrate on delivering enjoyable and entertaining experiences.
Ontario, a substantial province encompassing 40% of Canada’s populace, presents an exciting prospect for Play’n Go, as they eagerly anticipate their games being enjoyed there.
This marks merely the initial phase of Play’n Go’s North American ambitions. They are poised to introduce their games in select US states that have legalized online gambling.
Playn Go stands as one of the pioneering entities to secure a license from the AGCO. They will be providing popular slot titles such as Rise of Olympus, Book of Dead, Reactoonz, and Tome of Madness to Ontario players.
Playn GOs Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Sissel Weitzhandler, stated, “We are dedicated to collaborating with all regulated regions, and we are thankful for the authorization from the AGCO.” “Ontario’s regulated marketplace launch is thrilling and a significant step for Play’n Go in North America. We are prepared to assist our partners in Ontario beginning April 4th.”
Single-sport wagering commenced in Canada on August 27th, but only provincial lotteries are currently providing it. The market will fully open in April, enabling private gambling firms registered with the AGCO to offer their games to players in Ontario.
