Sportradar has been given permission to operate as an internet gaming service provider in Connecticut and has renewed its sports wagering supplier license in West Virginia. The firm has also struck new integrity agreements with two European basketball groups.
Sportradar is now able to offer sports information and related services in both states. This is a significant achievement for Sportradar, as the legalization of sports betting in the U.S. is quickly expanding.
“As the legalization of sports betting in the U.S. speeds up, strong and clear data will be crucial in managing the expanding industry growth in a sustainable and moral way,” said Arne Rees, CEO of Sportradar US.
Connecticut opened its legal retail and online betting in October 2021, while West Virginia was among the first states to legalize sports betting after the repeal of PASPA, launching its market in August 2018.
